Severe overweight or obesity is an increasing problem in industrialized countries and Germany is already in third place in Europe. About 12.3% of men and 11.3% of women are severely overweight from the age of 18, which is due to a combination of poor diet, lack of exercise, and genetic predispositions.
However, it is difficult to generate a universal diet or weight loss program. The reason for this is the uniqueness of each individual. Genetic differences have a huge influence on how our body processes the nutrients we consume and which nutrients lead to the buildup of body fat.
Individual weight loss programs through genetic analysis
Some people gain weight very quickly with more carbohydrates in their diet, while others are completely insensitive to the amount of sugar in their diet.
The optimal amount of exercise is also dependent on genes. Some people lose weight very quickly with regular exercise, while others see little change with the same effort. Similarly, calorie reduction is not effective for everyone. It rarely leads to the desired outcome.
Our own genes strongly influence whether fat or carbohydrates lead to overweight, whether exercise is particularly effective, or whether we can reach our goals faster through calorie reduction.

How does the Weight Sensor or Gene Diet work?
The first step is to take a saliva sample using a cotton swab. After arriving at our laboratory, the genes are extracted and the corresponding gene sequences are examined for variations.
Our scientists then analyze the genetic profile and create a program tailored to the individual genetic predisposition. The report provides specific recommendations for an individualized nutrition plan and helps to find the right balance between exercise and nutrition. Also included is a list of over 1000 foods rated according to genes, which makes it easy to implement the dietary recommendations to reduce body fat percentage sustainably and thus improve health and quality of life without unnecessary effort.
