Recovery From Thigh Lift Immediately After Surgery
Once your Thigh Lift Surgery is complete, our staff will transfer you to the post-anesthesia recovery area. In the recovery area, our registered nurses monitor you as you slowly awake from the anesthetic. Once the anesthesia effects have worn off, you are allowed to go home accompanied by your family/friends.
Recovery From Thigh Lift at Home
After returning home, it’s important to take it easy and focus on recovery. You can engage in light, everyday activities such as watching TV, reading, dressing, using the bathroom, showering, and preparing simple meals. However, avoid any strenuous activities during the first two weeks. Light exercise, such as slow to moderate-paced walking, is generally allowed after two weeks, but strenuous exercise should be avoided until four weeks post-surgery.
You may experience moderate bruising and swelling in the treated area, as well as moderate to severe discomfort lasting 7-10 days. Dr. Ahmad will provide a prescription for pain medication, which should be taken as needed. To ensure a smooth recovery, all prescriptions will be provided before surgery, and we encourage patients to have them filled in advance.
